Nickolas Kolbe works closely with senior management to provide analysis and research relating to the existing portfolio, new acquisitions, and dispositions. He brings with him 12 years of commercial real estate experience, dealing primarily with asset management and transaction analysis, cashflow modeling, and market research.
Prior to joining Capstone in September 2019, Mr. Kolbe was at San Diego Multifamily owner-operator MG Properties where he worked as an Asset Manager covering apartment properties in the Western United States. Before then he was an Asset Manager and Financial Analyst for mixed-use developer OliverMcMillan where he focused on ground up development projects in Houston, Phoenix, Oakland, and Honolulu. Before moving to San Diego, Mr. Kolbe held Fund and Valuations Analyst positions in San Francisco for Industrial REIT Prologis covering core markets, as well as in Oakland where he worked for brokerage firm Cassidy Turley (now Cushman & Wakefield) as Market Analyst and Salesperson.
Mr. Kolbe holds a Masters in Real Estate from University of San Diego where he earned honors recognition and led the USD 2017 Argus University Challenge team to a 1st place finish. He entered the commercial real estate business in 2007 with a BS in Business Management & Information Systems and a Minor in Economics from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.
